The New Suite Rates are Live!

Many thanks for your feedback on the new pricing structure, we have received a unanimous YES for the increase which we fully support. With this in mind we have slightly increased the one guest rate.  As of now the new pricing structure is in place and live on our website. We welcome all customer feedback on this.

Large Suite – 1 guest 

£21 everyday

£27 all inclusive 

Large Suite – 2 guests

£30 everyday (£15 per guest) 

£40 all inclusive  

Extra Large – 1 guest

£24 everyday

£37 everyday  (£18.50 per guest)

Questions 

Can I back date this increase for existing bookings?

No, if a confirmation email has been sent out then you must honor the prices as stated on the confirmation email.

Can I send out a confirmation email today with the new pricing structure?

Yes, please do. 

What if a customer cancels an existing booking and asks to rebook new dates ?

In this situation the new dates would be at the new price.

What if a customer extends an existing booking by a few days.

In general the added days would be charged at the new rate, but feel free to use your discretion.  A good example would be: A customer made a booking 3 months ago for next Summer. They call you to add a week, the additional days should be charged at the new daily rate.  

What if HQ has quoted a different price over the last few days?

The new rate is still appropriate, as long as a confirmation email or holding email denoting the suite rate has not been sent. 

Should I highlight the new pricing structure to customers?

Yes, but only in conversation when chatting about the suite rate but there is no need to add anything to the confirmation email that would highlight the new prices, other than the usual suite rate calculation that we include at the new rates. 

It’s wise not to draw attention to the price increase. There is no need to bold anything or change the colour of the new daily rate when writing confirmation emails.  Please don’t blanket email your customers with any price increase information. The prices are clear as of today on our website.

Can I stick with the old rates if my customer is not happy?

Please don’t do this as we need to be consistent. As always, there are ways that we can add value without affecting the suite rate as a gesture of goodwill, such as adding a complimentary mini body groom prior to the guest going home but should be by exception only. 

I can’t remember the new rates!

Neither can we at the moment so pop them down on a post it note in front of your PC!

What is the impact on my revenue?

An average suite rate increase of £3 per suite in a 6 suite hotel at 85% occupancy = £5,585 per year.

Lovely to hear from you. 

We have implemented a small price increase to our daily suite rate across all of our hotels. This  is in line with the current increases in consumables, energy and rising global costs.  We have kept our suite rates competitively priced over the last 5 years and still offer incredible value for the 5 Star service we provide for you and your beloved felines.

With this in mind we will continue to keep ( cats name) suite on hold overnight and look forward to hearing from you.

Is All Inclusive worth it still? 

Yes! 

All inclusive is “ a tailored approach “ and all about the care! 

It’s everything from hand feeding, the little extras such as a water fountain, the little and often approach, neurotic and normal owners wanting more communication, more one-on-one human time and includes our premium food ranges alongside our evening tuck in service. 

These could be kittens that need feeding 4 times a day to complex medical needs such as cats with Diabetes or asthma ( this is specialist care) If they were to stay at a vets they would be charging upward of £15 per injection plus out of hours time.

We wanted to gather your feedback on a suite rate increase. We are all experiencing price increases across the board from the cost of food and litter to utilities and petrol. With this in mind we feel it is the perfect time to review the suite rates with a view to implementing the new rates from April 1st. We have conducted a competitor analysis up and down the UK and there remains nothing like us, we are recognised as the brand leader in the UK by our customers and our competitors. We are leaps and bounds above all of the competition in all areas.

We gather feedback from our customers on a daily basis through talking to them and via the global line and they love what we do and become more disillusioned by the many of the other ‘cat hotels’ and ‘catteries’ out there.
